WELCOME TO COUNTY OAK ARCHERY CLUB

WHO WE ARE
County Oak Archery Club is formed of a friendly bunch of male and female archers.
Our membership is drawn from Brighton, Hove, Worthing and across East and West Sussex.
Our ages range from 13 to 83. Our ability range is mixed, from complete beginners to county champions, and everything in between.

For 50+ years, County Oak Archery Club has brought competitiveness, enjoyment and friendship
to all those who take up archery. Our motto is ‘recti oculi’ – straightness of eye.

WHEN AND WHERE WE SHOOT
From September to April we shoot indoors in the Blatchington Mill School gym on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm, and outdoors on the Hove Park School Field Sunday afternoons (weather permitting!) from 1.30 pm.

We shoot outdoors on the Hove Park School field from April until late September on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings starting at 6 pm and on Sunday afternoons from 1.30 pm.

WHAT WE SHOOT
We shoot target archery at all recognised GNAS AND FITA distances, with all bow types:
Longbow, Recurve and Compound.

Our aim is for every member to enjoy archery whether they want to be competitive or just social. You choose the level at which you wish to take part – remember its all about enjoyment.

The club runs many in-house competitions and a number of members enter open competitions across the county and beyond.

We also have an active social programme, with activities including bowling, dinners, quizzes etc.
