BEGINNERS

BEGINNERS' COURSES
County Oak Archery Club will host three Beginners' courses in 2025, taking place in June, July, and August. The primary objective of these courses is to introduce participants to archery and ensure they reach a safe standard of shooting. Upon successfully completing the course, attendees will receive a certificate of completion, which is recognized as an entry-level qualification for UK Archery GB clubs.
Each course will consist of three sessions held on two consecutive Sundays and
one Wednesday evening outside in the grounds of Hove Park School. However, we
are dependant on reasonable weather conditions and therefore the course may be
subject to change from time to time if rain or strong winds are forecast.
All equipment necessary for the course is provided by the club and the course fee will be £80 which is payable in advance (you can pay on the start date of the course) however we do require an initial deposit of £40 in order to secure your place. Please also read our booking Terms and Conditions. If you are interested, please apply using the form below as soon as possible, as places are limited and will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the club only accepts children aged 14 and over. Primarily this is because we have found that younger children are unable to achieve the distances that we require to shoot on the course with low poundage bows.
